More Goodies
On 14, Mar 2012 | No Comments | In news / blog | By Layla
We’ve had an interesting start to the year doing a couple of re-versions of past jobs, it’s always interesting to dig stuff off old hard drives and see the wonky file structures. Here’s our re-version of the Goodies commercial we did last year.

Secret 7″
On 09, Mar 2012 | No Comments | In news / blog | By Layla
We are pleased to announce that we are taking part in Secret 7″ a groovy mystery-art project. It aims to restore a bit of excitement to the old 7″ single. The brief is to create a unique cover for a 7″ single from an eclectic variety of artists including The Cure, Florence and the Machine and DJ Shadow. But wait, there’s a catch, although each cover will be beautiful and a covetable object in it’s own right there will be no indication as to who created the cover or even the band name or what is on the track inside, it’ll do your heads in. These unique 7″ singles will then be sold to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust. The covers will also be exhibited at The Idea Gallery in Shoreditch in April.

Here’s a blast from the past. Hop Squad was included at January’s Making Tracks event hosted by Whirlygig cinema at Rich Mix. They project 16mm films and accompany them with a live band. It gives Hop Squad a really different atmosphere and adds a nice bit of tension. Well I just love it.
Welcome Sebas&Clim!

We’re all over the moon here at Trunk today to welcome our lovely new friends Sebastian and Clim! I’ll let the work speak for itself, but all I can say is they’ve brought sunshine in their hearts all the way from Uruguay and Barcelona, and they’re very kindly spreading it all over London! Just look at today, 17 degrees, I’m not saying anything, but they are definitely the reason! The now London based duo are settling in nicely, and we’re all really looking forward to making some beautiful work.
Smile for London
On 23, Jan 2012 | No Comments | In news / blog | By Richard
Lore&Jun and Alasdair + Jock have just finished working with Smile for London on their new moving image exhibition “Word In Motion” that aims to uplift and inspire commuters with poetry and moving images during January 2012.
Smile for London invited new and established poets to submit work that has been turned into 20 second typographic films by leading motion artists. The finished silent projections are to be shown across 60 screens on the underground with an expected 1.5 million commuters seeing each video.
Trunk has produced two of the films, Lore&Jun worked with the talented poet Courttia Newland, and Alasdair + Jock worked with poet Nikesh Shulka’s witty vibes.
Daniel Pemberton very kindly composed some music for Lore&Jun’s piece which really pulls everything together nicely, and Aaron Lampert got involved with some sound design for Alasdair + Jock.

Here’s our latest project the Michael Page Career-a-Pult. It’s an online interactive game where you can compare your Linked-In profile with those of your Linked-In connections, it’s a bit of fun for the silly week before Christmas. Layla Atkinson designed and directed with animation by our friends at weareom and Framebreed. Working with the developers at LingoBee who created the coding we turned around this project in a month. It was commissioned by CMW.
