So, tonight you’ll be able to see the fruits of our labour at the Queen’s Jubilee Concert. We’ve been working like demons on animated visuals which will be projected onto Buckingham Palace during the performances. We’ve had a sneak peek at rehearsals and it looks spectacular. Our visuals are for two songs by Madness so keep your eyes peeled. They were commissioned by Sam Pattinson at Treatment Studios who organised all the visuals on the palace and who pulled everything together. Madness will be on at roughly 9.45. You can see more about the concert here
Zac Brown Band | Knee Deep

Here’s a still from Alasdair and Jock latest job, an animated backdrop for the award-winning Zac Brown Band at this year’s CMT Awards. The band performed their song “Knee Deep” against the simple backdrop which complemented the physical set built for the band. Rok Predin took the backdrop into 3d to add a cloth effect when it unfurled across the five huge screens behind the band and continues to waft gently throughout the song.
The work was commissioned by Sam Pattinson at Treatment studios and was turned around in under a week.
TAKE THAT TRUNK

Trunk Animation’s Rok Predin has been working for Take That at this year’s Royal Variety Performance. Take That, who sang two songs from their No1 album Progress, headlined the show. Their song ‘SOS’ was accompanied by some amazing visuals by Trunk Animation’s Rok. The animated backdrop, based on an original idea by Richard Cullen, featured an apocalyptic vision of London with iconic buildings burning behind the pop quintet. The show watched by an estimated 150 million people worldwide was broadcast yesterday. Sam Pattinson at Treatment studios commissioned Trunk Animation who turned the work around in less than a week. Trunk also helped build the visuals behind Take That’s other song ‘The Flood’ using green screen techniques to multiply and animate a dancer.

Here’s Rok Predin’s latest project, we worked with Sam at Treatment Studios to create a back projection sequence to go behind the country singer Keith Urban’s performance of his track “put you in a song” at this year’s Country Music Awards in Nashville. This had a very quick turnaround, we produced three and a half minutes of animaton in twelve days straight, there were lots of late evenings but the end of the project the studio resembled a warzone. Compositing was by Rok Predin, Luca Paulli, Rob Ward and Layla Atkinson. Artworking was by Anita Leung, Yasmeen Fanari, Ginevra Boni and Sara Savelj.
below is a version without all that pesky singing going on in front of it
