Trunk gain 2nd BAFTA nomination!

We are delighted to announce that we have been nominated for a 2nd BAFTA in as many years with our special for ‘BBC Newsround: On Knives’. After sharing the BAFTA for last year’s ‘Newsround: On Poverty’ with other animation studios, we had high hopes for this 11-minute special directed by Trunk’s Layla Atkinson.

It’s a tribute to the BBC’s Kez Margrie and Trunk’s producer Richard Barnett, and we look forward to the ceremony!

Shooting Britney

Tom Fun Orchestra

We are pleased to present a new music video directed by Alasdair Brotherston for Tom Fun Orchestra. It’s an amazing, multi-layered experience featuring puppets designed by Jock Mooney cavorting in a vaudeville theatre. Alasdair has been a Trunk friend for a long long time, and we were pleased to support him in making the video at our studio on behalf of ‘Shot on Site’.

TRUNK win 2 Annecy Crystals

Trunk picked up TWO crystal awards at Annecy this year! Producer Richard Barnett and Director Steve Smith were on-hand to collect the prizes firstly for Best Music Promo, going to Annuals ‘Dry Clothes’, and also to Best Educational Video, to ‘Funfacts’. We were delighted to be one of a select few British winners of the biggest and most prestigious animation festival in the World…
